When using Sound Forge for audio editing, clean-up, and mastering, you typically work directly on the original file. While you do have undo commands, once you save a file you make a permanent, destructive change to it. Most people get around this limitation (and potentially dangerous situation) by working on a copy of the original.

At the SIGGRAPH 2009 show in New Orleans, 3ality Digital will show the integration of CG special effects with live action 3D with the presentation of footage from NBC's "Chuck vs. The Third Dimension,"what the company says is the first episode of a scripted television show captured in live action digital 3D. The screening will take place Thursday August 6 (6:30 - 9 p.m., Room 260) and Friday August 7 (10 - 11:30 a.m., Room 271).

At SIGGRAPH 2009, the Elemental Accelerator 2.0 plug-in for NVIDIA Quadro graphics cards can be seen at PNY Booth #2017. It was also announced that Hewlett Packard's HP Z workstations have been outfitted with the CUDA based plug-in to enhance and speed up processes in Adobe Premiere Pro CS4.
