Record number of people download beta versions of professional multimedia editing system and DVD authoring software during pre-release phase Sonic Foundry Inc. today announced it has begun shipping Vegas 4.0 and Vegas+DVD, two new standards for professional video and audio production on the Windows platform. The pre-release versions of the products were well-received during a public beta period in January as a record number of users looking to get a sneak peek downloaded the software from Sonic Foundry’s Web site. ![]() Bumper crop of great spots elevates commercial production to an art form The Super Bowl of football has become the Super Bowl of commercials, and of digital video editing, too. The problem: importing an image sequence. It occurred to me then that I had never even thought of doing this in Final Cut Pro, let alone tried it. My immediate inclination was that FCP ought to handle image sequences the way any other program does--especially since it's from Apple--and that the issue was with the images themselves, not the import process. Not even close. |
